Very much enjoying your generative music; how much compositional input are you involved with in the overall process beyond the initial set of prompts? Brilliant work on 'When Words Collide' btw regardless of which or whom put the track together.

@@braytonleroymeyer6218 I start with a topic, followed with a fixed prompt. Then for extending, mostly it's snapping, cropping and inpainting the songs (trial and error). Each extension is an additional 32 seconds. For lyrics it's tweaking the text (chatGPT) or sometimes self-thought. Udio does a lot by itself, but as many AI generated tools, it needs an artist and a steering hand to guide the song into a hit song. For example... "When Words Collide" took me near 200 credits (each 32-seconds snippets, including all the failed) to finish. The after effects (adding samples, cropping, fading, remastering and video editing) are all done manually.

Good suggestion. Though, I tried that at the start. The result is simply, no views and no fans. It's rather ironic, that when trying to generate new music, the best song results (read: "band in question") also automatically correlates with the best voice (read: "artist in question").

Unfortunately, large corporate companies can do that, it's their amount of lawyers agains yours (i.e. zero), and like the board game "Risk", you lose your ground by numbers and power. I guess I will move on with "Progressive Rock AI" or something similar... or just Art & Intel as name of the band.. let's see how it will catch. Probably somewhere in the "sales"-section, all the way in the back of the store.

Not entirely true. First... I did follow the guidelines (by tapping the synthetic manipulation and alteration tag), and it is my own music - I created it with a tool that pay PF (read: record labels) to use *their* voice and music to generate this. Yes... they get paid to let me make this! Just like Spotify. I have not killed it, PF did. Look at my latest creation, it is (still) there and it is not killed. Why? The title ... it is probably just that, and only that. Look at "Shepherd's Song" or "Repaint The Sky" (or.. don't look, because they are blocked). Can any of the singers or bands in question be heard here? No. Yet, they are blocked.. because of a friggin' title. Now listen to "Storm Before The Calm". It is still there, and "his" voice too, because the title doesn't include the band. Secondly... think about it, this is simply what literally *everyone* is doing these days; mentioning big names in the title and get topped in the search results. If I would not have added any of the mentioned names or bands, it would probably be dragged down into oblivion, never to have seen or heard by anyone.

@ArtAndIntel I doubt it came directly from the band. It seems like some kind of media detection from Google. There are many types of unique media on YT that used the bands name in the title but never got taken down for months or even years, even whole albums that have been there for years. I even found a PF Echos AI video with original music that contained changing AI graphics only throughout the video with familiar scenes and band members in the video, and it's still up. Unless you see a video or article on a band members concerns with AI, I would say it's otherwise. I have seen other celebrities who heard themselves singing another artists music with AI. They didn't seem too concerned about their property at that moment. Some were even amused. If anything, it could be the music company protecting their property and not the band itself..
